Oil Center Surgical Plaza gets accreditation — 5 key notes

The Oil Center Surgical Plaza in Lafayette, La., received accreditation, according to an AAAHC newsletter.

The ambulatory surgery center underwent a survey and achieved Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accreditation earlier this year. Here are five things to know about Oil Center Surgical Plaza:

1. Lafayette General Health opened the ASC last November.

2. The ASC is in the same building as the Lafayette General Surgical Hospital.

3. There are seven beds and four operating rooms in the ASC.

4. The facility is 12,656 square feet and includes ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and pain management.

5. The ASC is owned by Lafayette General Medical Center and local physicians.
