The Gold Seal sets FastMed apart as the only independent urgent care operator to receive the honor in Arizona, North Carolina and Texas, the release said. It was previously awarded the Gold Seal in 2014, and this new accreditation runs through 2023.
“We commend FastMed Urgent Care for its continuous quality improvement efforts in patient safety and quality of care, which have enabled them to again meet The Joint Commission’s high standards,” Mark Pelletier, RN, COO of accreditation and certification operations and chief nursing executive for The Joint Commission, said in a statement.
