Michigan system acquires 25-office medical group

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health has added Clinton Township, Mich.-based Cornerstone Medical Group effective April 1.

Cornerstone comprises 25 offices in the Detroit area offering family and internal medicine, pediatrics, endocrinology, hospitalist care, podiatry and colorectal surgery. More than 80 physicians and advanced practice providers will join Henry Ford’s network, according to an April 1 health system news release. 

The physicians will also participate in the Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network, which includes more than 5,000 providers across 13 Michigan counties. Cornerstone Medical Group physicians became part of the Henry Ford Medical Group under the clinical partner category, expanding the group’s care model and provider network.
