Texas hospital opening pain clinic — 4 insights

Houston-based Texas County Memorial Hospital is opening an outpatient pain clinic, May 31, the Houston Herald reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Anesthesiologist Richard Moore, MD, will provide pain management services at the Houston-based TCMH Outpatient Clinic. He’ll work once a month at the clinic.

2. Dr. Moore retired from full-time practice, but still practices on a part-time basis, due to his love of medicine.

3. TCMH had no physician on staff that could provide pain management services prior to Dr. Moore.

4. Dr. Moore had been a practicing anesthesiologist from 1981 until 2016. He moved to Arkansas after retiring from full-time practice.
