Haute Beauty welcomes interventional pain specialist Dr. Jay Shah: 5 things to know

Haute Beauty welcomed interventional pain and rehabilitation medicine physician Jay Shah, MD, to its invite-only network.

Here are five things to know:

1. New York City-based Dr. Shah uses nonsurgical and minimally invasive procedures on patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain related to degenerative conditions and sports-related injuries.

2. Dr. Shah received his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. He underwent interventional pain medicine fellowship training in New York City at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian Hospital.

3. Dr. Shah also worked with the ABC News Medical Unit in New York City. He currently serves as director-at-large and co-chair of the North American Neuromodulation Society Residents and Fellows Section, and serves on the Young Neuromodulators Committee and Public Education and Outreach committee of the International Neuromodulation Society, one of the world's largest pain organizations.

4. He is the founder and president of the Young Physician's Council of the Cancer Pain Research Consortium, a national organization focusing on novel methods of pain relief, functional rehabilitation and wellness for patients with cancer-associated pain.
