What you should know:
1. Jan. 31 will be the last day that Anesthesia Associates provides pediatric critical care and pediatric anesthesia services at Children’s Mercy, which is also in Kansas City.
2. Most of the 68 Anesthesia Associates employees currently working at Children’s Mercy are expected to continue on through Jan. 31 unless staffing needs decline, and nearly 90 percent have accepted employment offers from the hospital, a representative told the Business Journal.
3. Anesthesia Associates notified the Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development about the contract termination on Nov. 24, as required by the Worker Adjustment & Retraining Notification Act.
