Dr. Park is among the 20 single men from Clare Crawley’s cast who have been re-cast to compete for Tayshia Adams’ hand in marriage, Marie Claire reports.

When Ms. Crawley stepped down as this season’s bachelorette to be with one of her contestants, producers selected Ms. Adams, who is a former phlebotomist, to take over.

Eight bachelors are set to be cut during the premiere. Contestants are barred from speaking to the media until after being eliminated or going on to win the show.

Dr. Park was once voted Top 20 Most Eligible Doctors and Medical Professionals in New York City, according to his profile on The Bachelorette website.

“After spending most of 2020 fighting coronavirus on the front lines in New York City, Joe, an accomplished anesthesiologist and COVID-19 survivor, is done wasting time,” the bio says. “After seeing more tragedy this year than throughout his entire career, Joe is 100 percent ready to settle down and find someone to build a family with.”

Dr. Park graduated from Stony Brook (N.Y.) University School of Medicine in 2014 and completed residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He has held privileges at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
