Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Sweenys podcast, Straight Talk MD, was launched in November.

2. It has, thus far, covered numerous topics, including transgender youth and the economics of obesity.

3. Within one week, Straight Talk MD had made it into the top 20 of iTunes New and Noteworthy list in Science and Medicine.

4. Dr. Sweenys is fellowship-trained in pediatric and cardiac anesthesia from University of California, Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
