Five eye products sold nationwide have been recalled due to manufacturing deviations, according to a May 12 report from CBS affiliate WKRC.
The products were voluntarily recalled by independent contract testing laboratory BRS Analytical Service. The manufacturing issues, which may lead to quality issues for the products, were discovered during a recent FDA audit.
Affected products were distributed from May 26, 2023, to April 21, 2025, according to the report. They include artificial tears ophthalmic solution, carboxymethylcellulose sodium ophthalmic gel 1%, carboxymethylcellulose sodium ophthalmic solution, lubricant eye drops solution and polyvinyl alcohol ophthalmic solution.
