Aspero received the grant to incorporate its Pillar micro-texture technology into an endoscopic balloon. This is the second grant Aspero has received to support the development of the balloon.

Current endoscopic balloons are prone to slippage. This balloon is designed to stay in place. Company CEO Mark Rentschler, PhD, said the balloon “will have a significant impact for both caregiver and patients.”
