Florida eye practice alters operations due to COVID-19

Boca Raton, Fla.-based West Boca Eye Center altered its daily operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. The practice has delayed all elective procedures, performing only urgent or emergency procedures.

2. When a patient has an emergency situation, the eye center is using telemedicine to provide initial consultations, which include COVID-19 prescreening measures.

3. The practice also increased its sanitation efforts to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
