HCA Houston Healthcare is building the Center for Clinical Advancement, that will provide specialized training opportunities for outpatient surgery center nurses, among others.

What you should know:

1. HCA broke ground on the 48,400-square-foot center in Pearland, Texas Feb. 26. It will open in 2021.

2. HCA will use the center to offer its nearly 7,000 nurses ongoing clinical training opportunities. Nurses from HCA’s hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, freestanding emergency centers and freestanding diagnostic imaging centers will be able to use the facility.

3. HCA Houston plans to open a similar center north of Houston in the future.
