Ophthalmic pharma company appoints new VP of clinical development

Ophthalmic pharmaceutical company Aerie Pharmaceuticals named Michelle Senchyna, PhD, vice president of clinical development and medical affairs.

1. Dr. Senchyna will lead the company’s clinical development and medical affairs strategy.

2. She comes to Aerie after a tenure as executive director of ophthalmology at Allergan. She previously held positions with Alcon and Panoptica and was a professor at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

3. Dr. Senchyna received restricted stock and stock options in Aerie as part of her compensation package.
