1. The center recently had its Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery System delivered.
2. Seaside CEO/Medical Director Robert Zehr, MD, said the Mako system allows for consistent and replicable results, with the robotic arm allowing for more accurate implant placement.
3. Dr. Zehr chose the Mako system from its competitors because of the motion data tracking. The analytical feature allows the machine to make corrections in balance and track the position of the implant.
