Former Super Bowl champion Dr. John Michels joins Physician Partners of America: 5 things to know

Physician Partners of America, a healthcare management company focused on physician partnerships in ASCs and ancillary services, has added interventional pain management physician John Michels, MD.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Michels.

1. Dr. Michels is a former Green Bay Packers player and 1997 Super Bowl champion.

2. His professional football career ended due to two right knee injuries.

3. His injuries led Dr. Michels to pursue a career in medicine.

4. Dr. Michels completed his medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then underwent fellowship training at the University of California, Irvine.

5. Dr. Michels now practices with Texas Pain Relief Group, a Hurst-based affiliate of Physician Partners of America.
