8 new ASCs in August 2015

Here are eight ambulatory surgery center openings and announcements in August 2015.

Surgery Center Services of America plans to develop a new surgery center in Latham, N.Y., pending approval by town planners. The ASC would be in a 12,000-square-foot facility.

Rush Medical Center and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago proposed building a new ambulatory surgery center in Oak Brook, Ill., that would include a four-story facility that would include an ASC and medical office space, athletic program space and rehabilitation services.

Shriners Hospital for Children Medical Center in Lexington, Ky., will include an ASC. The project will likely be completed in 2017.

Revere Health in Provo, Utah, began a project to construct a new building that will house an ambulatory surgery center in addition to physician offices and a pharmacy in Salem, Utah.

Truecare Surgery Center, focused on plastic surgery, opened in Chino Hills, Calif.

The Mendelson Professional Building in Livonia, Mich., will include the Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedic & Spine Specialists practice and an outpatient surgery center in a 42,000-square-foot medical office building.

UC Health Longmont (Colo.) moved forward with constructing a new ambulatory surgery center, estimated to cost $125 million.

Orthopedic Associates of Wisconsin began construction on a $20 million surgery center and clinic in Waukesha that is slated to open in June 2016.
