FDA approves Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ new flavor of bowel prep PREPOPIK

The FDA has approved the new cranberry flavored PREPOPIK bowel preparation from Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

The new flavor option will be available in January 2015. PREPOPIK (sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide and anhydrous citric acid) is a 10 ounce bowel preparation solution, the lowest volume option available.

The FDA initially approved Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ orange-flavored PREPOPIK in July 2012.
