Abandoned New York Courthouse to Become $10M ASC, Medical Facility

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the New York City Economic Development Corporation have announced the Rockaway Courthouse in New York, left vacant for over 30 years, will be converted into a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center and medical facility, according to a Realty Today report.

The courthouse is expected to house the ASC and physician offices.

The outpatient surgery center will offer gynecology, obstetrics, orthopedics, urology and ophthalmology services.

The project is estimated to cost $10 million.
