National Eye Institute Funds $6.2M Macular Degeneration Study

Researchers from the Feinberg School of Medicine, Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, the University of Nebraska Center for Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine and Northwestern University’s Center for Developmental Therapeutics will collaborate in a $6.2 million macular degeneration study funded by NIH’s National Eye Institute, according to an Azonano report.

Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., is expected to receive $3.9 million of the $6.2 million grant, which will be given out over a five-year period.
