Data Safety Monitoring Board Approves Third Cohort in Advanced Cell Technology Clinical Trials

The Data Safety Monitoring Board has given Advanced Cell Technology approval to treat patients in the third cohort of each of the company’s three stem cell clinical trials, according to a report by the Fort Mill Times.

Advanced Cell Technology, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based regenerative medicine company, is also working towards a macular degeneration treatment in two clinical trials recently approved by the FDA.
