Geisinger-Shamokin Hospital Building New Ophthalmology Clinic

Geisinger-Shamokin (Pa.) Area Community Hospital has begun construction on a new 4,000-foot, $1.2 million ophthalmology clinic at the Geisinger Specialty Care–Shamokin facility on the hospital’s grounds.

The new facility, expected to be completed in early June, will enhance the system’s offerings of diagnosis and treatment for eye-related health problems, including cataract surgery and diabetic retinopathy.
