Dr. Ambati is professor of physiology and professor and vice chair of the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He holds the Dr. E. Vernon Smith & Eloise C. Smith endowed chair in macular degeneration research.
Club Jules Gonin has about 270 members from 43 countries. Dr. Ambati was inducted to the club at its recent biennial meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland.
