ACG launches IBS campaign to improve patient-physician communication: 3 thoughts

The American College of Gastroenterology with the cooperation of Allergan and Ironwood Pharmaceuticals launched the Picture My IBS campaign.

Here's what you need to know.

1. The campaign is encouraging patients to openly communicate with physicians about their irritable bowel syndrome. It also is encouraging patients to use the visual medium of their choice to talk about IBS.

2. The contest is taking place at the annual scientific meeting of ACG. It features original artwork depicting the impact of living with IBS.

3. ACG is encouraging IBS patients to submit their own artwork to win a trip for two to New York City.
