White House to address PPACA consumer complaints

The White House aims to address two of the most frequent complaints related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, according to a report by The New York Times.

PPACA consumers have complained that physician directories are inaccurate and about unexpected bills for care not covered under the plans.

In response, federal officials plan to require payers to update directories once a month at minimum. They also plan to launch an “out-of-pocket cost calculator,” according to the report.
