Naval Hospital Bremerton nurse receives ambulatory care certification

Lt. Amy Bene of Naval Hospital Bermerton received ambulatory care accreditation, meeting the requirements of two years full-time as a registered nurse and minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice in ambulatory care and/or telehealth nursing in the last three years, reports Northwest Navy Life.

According to the report, Lt. Bene was inspired to become a nurse after battling cancer at the age of 19, and recalls how good a nurse made her feel when she was feeling sad and frustrated.
