Genesis HealthCare, Revera enter into purchase agreement: 5 quick facts

Genesis HealthCare signed an asset purchase agreement with Revera.

Here are five quick facts:

1. Under the agreement, Genesis will acquire 24 of Revera’s skilled nursing facilities along with its contract rehabilitation business for $240 million.

2. Genesis HealthCare is one of the largest providers of post-acute care in the country. It includes more than 500 skilled nursing centers and assisted/senior living communities.

3. Revera is an owner, operator and investor in the senior living sector.

4. The 24 centers are located in the following states in New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  

5.  The transaction is expected to close by the end of this calendar year.
