Defense Department’s largest ASC employs mass notification system

The 59th Medical Wing of the Air Force now employs the mass notification system Desktop Alert for emergency preparedness. According to a press release, this system allows the wing to access a secure on notification system to send messages offsite from the wing itself, and because the cloud portion of the system is a standby portion, 99 percent of the DoD bandwidth and cloud-costs are eliminated.

“The architecture we have deployed underwrites our company mantra, alerts in less than one minute. The cloud has been tested…and it is slow. When lives are at stake, seconds count,” said Howard Ryan, CEO of Desktop Alert.
