Here are the key things to know:

1. The scoring process us used for all certification and accreditation programs.

2. The SAFER Matrix aggregates areas of noncompliance based off surveyor’s on-site evaluations of an issue’s likelihood to cause harm to patients or staff.

3. All noncompliance issues documented require follow-up activity and are assigned a 60-day time frame for correction.
