Takeda constructing modular cell therapy facility in Dublin

Takeda will construct a $30.82 million (€25 million) modular cell therapy facility in Dublin, Ireland, BioSpectrum reports.

Here's what you should know.

1. The new facility will create 70 jobs when complete.

2. Takeda aims to use the plant to expand its footprint in the country, while also manufacturing novel stem cell therapies.

3. The facility is expected to open in 2021.

4. Takeda is already constructing a standalone production facility in Dublin for a portion of its oncology products.
