Orthopedic device developer releases knee implant system designed for ASCs

DJO released two Empower systems for total hip and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty that were designed with the cost constraints of outpatient- and ASC-based procedures in mind.

The company released its Empower Acetabular and the Empower Partial Knee. Both systems are being marketed as “a comprehensive and efficienct solution for all THA and UKA approaches and settings.”

DJO vice president of sales and marketing Louis Vogt said, “These Empower systems will enable surgeons to be more efficient and effective, especially in the rapidly growing outpatient setting.”

Both systems are available for purchase in the U.S.
