Mebane City Council and Orange County approved economic incentives to bring Medline to the area last fall, the report said. There haven’t been any significant construction delays, and the facility is expected to be operational in about a year.
“The construction of this facility really couldn’t come at a better time,” Jesse Greenberg, Medline’s public affairs director, told the Mebane Express. “We’re now at the phase of completing a lot of the pre-construction activities and putting down the foundation. Probably at the end of this year and the beginning of next year, we’re going to be putting up the walls around our facility, and continuing to complete the building construction.”
