DePuy Synthes is part of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies.
Here are five notes:
1. The Femoral Recon Nail System is a fixation system that utilizes an intramedullary nail.
2. The system is designed to provide stability and enable patients to move soon after surgery.
3. The Femoral Recon Nail System offers surgical entry point and locking options to accommodate surgeons’ varying preferences.
4. The system features radiolucent insertion handles for treating complex fractures, facilitating intraoperative and X-ray visualization and assisting with guide wire.
5. DePuy designed the system to address distal cortical impingement — which can result when patient’s femoral anatomy curvature is greater than the nail curvature — by reducing the rate of nail curvature to more closely match the patient’s anatomy.
