Cardinal Health survey: 69% of organizations report delayed cases due to missing supplies

While most frontline clinicians see inventory management as either “complicated” or a “necessary evil,” more than two-thirds of organizations reported experiencing a delayed case due to inventory shortage, according to a Cardinal Health survey of surgical staff and hospital supply chain decision-makers.

Data was based on a November 2017 survey of 305 respondents, including 128 frontline clinicians, 100 operating room supply chain decision-makers and 77 hospital/supply chain administrators.
