ASC supply chain tip of the day: Track expenditures

Ann Castro, BroadJump’s vice president of non-acute sales, weighed in the on the top supply chain opportunities and challenges for ASCs.

Ms. Castro shared the following tip with Becker’s ASC Review:

“We’re at a point where patients are demanding price transparency for procedures. Surgery centers and physicians must demand that same transparency from their suppliers. Utilizing a supply chain management or inventory management system can help surgery centers track expenditures so they can understand the reasons for change in their supply spend. Tools that use unbiased data to provide true transparency into the current marketplace allow ASCs to better negotiate with suppliers and maximize efficiency.”
