Mr. Olderman shared the following supply chain insight with Becker’s ASC Review:
“ASCs should evaluate whether Amazon has better pricing and delivery opportunities than typical distribution channels. While Amazon is not yet at the point where an ASC can fulfill all of its supply needs through it, there may be current opportunities for commodity purchases through Amazon and other product-purchasing opportunities in the future that will permit ASCs to obtain better pricing or to reduce inventories through just-in-time purchasing. “
