Orthopedic group completes mock cases to prepare for new ASC

With an ASC opening soon, Atlanta-based Barbour Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine surgeons completed mock cases to prepare, according to CEO Kelly Millerd.

What you should know:

1. The group’s Atlanta Surgery Center is expected to open soon.

2. The surgeons performed mock cases at the new facility Jan. 10.

3. The group is hiring a registered nurse circulator, preoperative and post-anesthesia care unit nurse, surgical scrub tech and front desk coordinator/administrative assistant.

4. Barbour Orthopedics has five locations in the Atlanta area.
