Materialise launched a shoulder surgery planner system in collaboration with DePuy Synthes.
Here's what you should know.
1. The system will help orthopedic surgeons prepare for shoulder arthroplasty surgeries. Specifically, the system addresses reverse shoulder arthroplasty and anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty operations.
2. In addition to helping surgeons prepare for the operations, the system allows patient-specific, 3-D printed surgical guides to be ordered.
