SurgCenter Development’s Overland Park (Kan.) Surgical Suites received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation.

Thomas Cowhey will serve as Surgery Partners’ executive vice president and CFO beginning April 2. 

Sheila Schweitzer is joining First Choice Healthcare Solutions’ board of directors.

Stuart, Fla.-based Martin Health System, Compass Surgical Partners and a group of physician investors will open the Stuart Surgery Center in early 2018.

Nobilis Health reported $299.7 million in 2017 revenue, a 4.9 percent increase over the previous year. Total case volume for 2017 decreased 5.9 percent to 18,757 for the year. In the fourth quarter, case volume dropped by 161 cases to 5,846. However, revenue per case increased from $14,329 in 2016 to $15,979 in 2017.
