Georgia health system's musculoskeletal center passes halfway point — 3 insights

Tifton, Ga.-based Tift Regional Health System's musculoskeletal center celebrated the project meeting its halfway point, the Tifton Gazette reports.

Here's what you should know:

1. Construction and medical staff celebrated the occasion with a "topping out party."

2. The center is expected to be complete by spring 2018. It'll be 80,000 square feet.

3. The center will condense the health system's outpatient orthopedic, rheumatology, neurology, pain management and rehabilitation services.

Tift Regional's Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services Claire Byrnes said the center will "streamline" the patient experience. She added, "For those with musculoskeletal needs, it's kind of a one-stop shop."
