OrthoIllinois building new $9M multispecialty clinic — 4 key notes

Crystal Lake, Ill.-based OrthoIllinois broke ground on its new Algonquin, Ill.-based clinic Sept. 20, the Northwest Herald reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The new 30,000-square-foot clinic will specialize in bone and joint care and will offer physician and occupational therapy, imaging services and an express walk-in center as well.

2. OrthoIllinois CEO Don Schriner said the move was made to bring people back to McHenry County to seek care. He said approximately 40 percent of McHenry County residents leave the county for care.

3. The new center will cost approximately $9 million.

4. Developers expect construction to be complete around September 2018. Following its opening, OrthoIllinois wants to add a pediatric orthopedic specialist to its staff.
