1.  The volume of orthopedic procedures occurring in the outpatient setting is now 33 times higher than the volume of procedures in the inpatient setting, according to the American Joint Replacement Registry’s 2023 annual report on hip and knee arthroplasty procedural trends and patient outcomes.

2. Greater Dayton (Ohio) Surgery Center has seen an increased number of knee replacement surgeries due to an aging population.

3. Captiva Spine’s WatchTower navigation system was used for the first time in an ASC.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
