Eye device company BVI partnered with Haywood Vocational Opportunities to provide personal protective equipment to healthcare workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

BVI and Haywood explored a partnership in late spring to determine solutions to PPE shortages.

The two entities designed, tested and manufactured an isolation gown in under three months. BVI distributed the gowns in North Carolina, where HVO is based.
