NIH awards Case Western $7.3M for cornea research

The National Institutes of Health has awarded Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine with a $7.3 million research grant.

The five-year grant will fund new technology, methods and models to study eye inflammation and pain. 

Research will be conducted by a multidisciplinary team with members from Case Western and the Cleveland Clinic, according to a Nov. 9 press release.
