Ophthalmology Limited has finished renovating and expanding its eye surgery center in Sioux Falls, S.D.. SiouxFalls.Business reported Oct. 15.
The finished center has four operating rooms and offers two new specialty services. The project was done in two phases. Earlier in 2026, the practice added about 9,000 square feet to its longtime location, including 17 pre- and post-surgery patient rooms, two more operating rooms and more windows for natural light.
Crews then renovated the original 7,700-square-foot space to match the new section. Updates covered the operating rooms, laser room, waiting rooms, bathrooms and offices. The practice also added a room for procedures that don’t need anesthesia and expanded its break and locker rooms.
The added operating room capacity gives the practice more scheduling flexibility, according to the report. It also opens up surgical time for cataract, glaucoma, cornea, oculoplastic and retina procedures.
Ophthalmology Limited also launched neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus care, led by Dr. Adam Bleeker. Dr. Bleeker is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist from Mitchell, S.D., who completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Oklahoma’s Dean McGee Eye Institute. Neuro-ophthalmology covers vision problems tied to the optic nerves, brain and nervous system. Adult strabismus care treats eye misalignment and eye movement disorders.
The practice now has 27 staff members, including people hired for the expansion.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
