National Eye Institute Awards UTHSC $1.5M for Glaucoma Research

The National Eye Institute, division of the National Institute of Health, has granted a research team at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis a $1.5 million grant, according to a Memphis Business Journal report.

The team led by Eldon Geisert, PhD, received the grant for the study of glaucoma genetic risk factors.

Dr. Geisert is a professor of ophthalmology, neurobiology and anatomy.
