AAO Establishes Sunil K. Rao, MD, Memorial Retina Fellowship Award

The American Academy of Ophthalmology has announced the creation of the Sunil K. Rao, MD, Memorial Retina Fellowship Award.

The fellowship honors Dr. Rao, a fellowship-trained retina specialist. Dr. Rao died in 2012 at that age of 34.

The award will provide funding for two retina fellows. The application process concludes on July 15 and the awards will be given at the 117th annual AAO meeting to be held in New Orleans November 16 to 19.
