Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System has revealed more than $460 million in new capital projects across the state, one of which will be a $48 million outpatient center in Bridgeport, W.Va.,
The six projects are all subject to regulatory approvals, according to an April 16 press release.
The $48 million United Hospital Center–Outpatient Surgery Center will total 48,000 square feet and will include eight operating rooms with pre- and post-op recovery areas and same-day total joint replacement capabilities. It is expected to be completed in December 2026.
In addition, the system will also open a $60 million, three-story ambulatory campus at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, W.Va., though it will not be completed until late 2027, according to the release.
