Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare received state approval for its multispecialty ASC project in Talbott, Tenn., the CitizenTribune reports.

1. Tennova is building Volunteer Surgery Center, a 12,000-square-foot ASC, through a partnership with local physicians.

2. The center will include three operating rooms and a procedure room.

3. Tennova estimates the center will open in 2021, pending regulatory approval.

4. The center will specialize in ENT, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and gastroenterology.
