Providence Health & Services files CON for $3.7M surgery center — 3 key details

Walla Walla (Wash.) Clinic and Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services both filed certificates of need for ambulatory surgery expansion and an equipment upgrade for existing facilities in light of the closure of Walla Walla General Hospital a year ago, the Union-Bulletin reported.

1. Walla Walla Clinic is proposing a $175,000 equipment upgrade for its ASC.

2. Providence Health & Services’ $3.7 million proposal would establish ambulatory surgery services at the former site of Walla Walla General Hospital.

3. The decisions on the two proposals are expected to be made Oct. 19.
