Aventus Health delays construction on $40M complex with ASC: 5 details

Winter Springs, Fla.-based Aventus Health delayed construction on a 150,000-square-foot medical complex in Oviedo, Fla., that will feature an ASC, Orlando Business Journal reports.

Here are five details:

1. Construction was initially set to begin this summer, but Aventus needs to obtain additional permits before breaking ground, CEO Oliver Dawoud said in a statement to OBJ. It plans to apply for them by the end of September.

2. The $40 million project, dubbed Aventus MedCi, will feature one 60,000-square-foot medical building, as well as a 40,000-square-foot medical building.

3. The complex will house a surgery center, an urgent care clinic, a clinical research center, advanced diagnostic imaging, a pharmacy, a laboratory and Adventus’s administration offices and healthcare team.

4. Aventus now plans to break ground in late November. The project is expected to take two years.

5. The project will create an estimated 500-plus jobs upon completion.
